PFW - J'adore Dior!

Another fashion season comes to an end! This season, we decided to show at Tranoï Woman for Paris Fashion Week in the beautiful Carrousel du Louvre. Our invitation for buyers to see our Spring/Summer 2018 collection debuted our new Midi Amy Bag.

Although they were long days, it was lovely walking to work every morning past the inimitable glass pyramid of I.M. Pei juxtaposed against the Renaissance architecture of the museum’s facades.

Despite the hectic schedule, I was really excited to fit in a visit to the exhibition Christian Dior, Couturier du Rêve at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. There is no substitute for seeing these beautiful garments in person, but here are a few highlights.

I absolutely love the Dior aesthetic – from the strong, structural elements and body contouring to the delicate flowers in the Miss Dior collections. Room after room of the exhibition displayed a rainbow of vibrant colours and the stamps of various creative directors of the fashion house over the years.

It was hard to believe that each successive room was more beautiful than the one before; however, the finale was definitely something to see – a large hall of couture dresses that have graced runways and red carpets through the years with a light show to match for the aptly named exhibition: Couturier du Rêve!
