Spring is Here!

Despite a chilly weekend in London, I am so excited to finally launch our new Spring collection!  It has been a long time coming and this season we debut new styles and new colours.

For Spring/Summer 18, I drew inspiration from the dreamy qualities of a romantic spring, elevated by our signature bold colour pairings.  Delicate pink peony is matched with a deep blue while serene powder blue is grounded by rich earthy brown.

These colours enrich our Italian leather handbags, including our perennially popular Veronica Tote Bag and our newest designs, the Alex Cross Body and the Midi Amy Tote Bag.

I decided it was time to update our Madeleine Cross Body and the design for the new cross body actually came from one of the many many ideas for our popular backpack that never made it out of the sketching phase!

 

 

The design dimensions were altered to adapt to the cross body shape of the bag and our usual paper mock-up was made to finalise the sizing.  There were also a couple finishing touches with new hooks and shortened straps based on feedback from our customers.  The result is the beautiful Alex Cross Body that we have today!

 

 

The new size of our popular Amy Tote was requested by several of our customers.  I added an outside pocket for easy access to things we always want to keep close at hand (i.e. our phones!).  As usual, the design process was easier said than done and after several iterations, I chose to use this new pocket as a key design feature, adding an asymmetric twist to this classic handbag.  È voila – our newest design was born.

 

 

Our sophisticated take on pastels will add that finishing touch to all your outfits this season!
